Celebration Wood

Celebration Wood: let’s make 2025 a year of growth, renewal and a celebration of nature.

As we usher in the New Year, East Ayrshire Leisure is delighted to announce its continued commitment to environmental restoration and community engagement. Located within the picturesque Dean Castle Country Park, Celebration Wood offers individuals and families a unique opportunity to commemorate special life events—such as anniversaries, births, weddings, or engagements—by sponsoring a native tree.

Sponsoring a tree in Celebration Wood is more than a symbolic gesture; it’s a living, lasting tribute that contributes to the growth of a beautiful woodland. Each tree planted aids in the rewilding of the area, fostering a diverse ecosystem that supports local wildlife and promotes environmental sustainability.

Biodiversity Enhancement: Expanding native woodland cover supports a rich variety of plant and animal species. By creating new habitats, we can help reverse biodiversity loss and encourage the return of native flora and fauna.

Climate Resilience: Rewilding initiatives contribute to climate change mitigation by sequestering carbon dioxide and enhancing ecosystem resilience. Healthy woodlands act as carbon sinks, playing a crucial role in regulating atmospheric carbon levels.

So, you will not only honour personal milestones but also contribute to the collective effort of restoring Scotland’s natural heritage. This initiative aligns with broader rewilding goals, aiming to have 30% of Scotland’s land and seas dedicated to nature recovery by 2030.

Making a Difference. Your support will help create a thriving, sustainable environment for future generations to enjoy. Sponsor a tree here
